The Bicol Region is situated in the southern tip of LUZON island in the Republic of the Philippines, about 400 miles southeast of Manila City. Bicol Region is famous for the warmth and friendliness of its people, and of SILI, PILI, COCONUT, ABACA, GOLD, MAYON VOLCANO, TIWI, ISAROG, IBALON, Beaches, Tilapia and others.

Albay is a part of the Bicol peninsula, which is at the southern tip of Luzon. It is between Camarines Sur on the North and Sorsogon on the south. It is bounded on the East by the Pacific Ocean, on the Northeast by the Lagonoy Gulf and on the West by the Burias Pass

Catanduanes is an island province in Bicol Region southeast of Luzon, It is separated from the mainland by the Maqueda Channel on the west and Lagonoy Gulf on the south. The north and east sides are open to the Pacific Ocean.

Camarines Norte occupies the northwestern portion of the Bicol Peninsula. It is bounded on the north by the Pacific ocean, on the east by the San Miguel Bay, on the southwest by the Quezon, and on the south by the Camarines Sur.
Culture
The Bicolano culture is primarily noted for the prominent use of chili peppers and gata (coconut milk)in its food. A classic example is the gulay na lada, known outside the Region as BICOL EXPRESS, a well-loved dish using siling labuyo(native small chillies) and the aforementioned gata.
